As it pertains to areas such as "Shopping the Deal", a Manager will aggressively work with an artist to develop a marketable product. The Manager will then market that product for the artist to an existing or a new record label. In the case of a new recording artist, this will result in a first time signing of either a developmental or full recording contract. In the case of an established recording artist, this could result in existing product for their current record label or a move to a new record label, as well as Maintaining the Deal (an extension of shopping; by monitoring all existing agreements that are in place). Artist Management works with other entertainment entities in establishing and booking tours and performances for clients as well as regional and nationwide promotions.
